Cineworld Cinema in Sheffield's Centertainment complex has revealed an all-new IMAX screen.

IMAX boats the largest cinema screens in the world and now, there is one in Sheffield. Cineworld theatres in Crawley and Sheffield have been treated to the IMAX screens and viewers will be able to experience it from the 9th of March, when Disney's 'John Carter' is released.

A spokesperson for Cineworld cinemas said;

"Audiences can not only watch the films, but can also feel the drama of the big screen unfolding around them thanks to the immersive theatre geometry, taking your cinema experience to a whole new level. Meanwhile, revolutionary projection technology, crystal-clear images and laser-aligned digital sound will bring you ever closer to the on-screen action."

The current screen 7 inside Sheffields Cineworld Cinema has been occupied by construction workers over the last few weeks, but will soon re-open as the official IMAX screen for the city of Sheffield.
