Local residents enjoyed fun and games down at Sandall Park over the Bank Holiday weekend, especially in the highly competitive 'Hook a Duck' game.

The Hook a Duck Championships got off to a flying start with the Civic Mayor of Doncaster Cllr Eva Hughes and McNabb Laurie of The Veolia Environmental Trust showing how it's done.

There was a perfect break in the weather for that and the Easter Egg Hunt to encourage hundreds of visitors to the park, with Ready Steady Store providing goody bags for every entrant and over 500 crème eggs being consumed!

Winners of the Hook a Duck 2012 were: Claire Thompson taking the senior trophy and joint winners of the junior trophy were Daniel Jewison and Kate Collinson.
