A 200-year-old supplier of personal protection equipment (PPE) has restructured its area sales team to maximise further growth.

Arden Winch has appointed Adam Banks as the area sales manager for Sheffield and Rotherham, with Ed Mallinder replacing him as area sales manager for Barnsley, Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Grimsby.

Based on Acres Hill Lane in Sheffield, Arden Winch provides PPE, uniforms, workwear and janitorial supplies to a range of public and private sector clients across the north of England. The company's embroidery department produces 400 logos per day.

Adam, 23 from Beauchief, Sheffield has been with Arden Winch for more than four years and has helped double sales across South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

He said: "Moving to look after the Sheffield and Rotherham area is a real privilege. Arden Winch has long been established in Sheffield and it is our prime position for the business, so this is a significant step-up for me.

"I helped increase sales for the business in Barnsley, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire and will be hoping to continue this in Sheffield and Rotherham. We have a number of big contracts in the city and I will be looking to maintain these and add new clients to our impressive portfolio."

Ed, 27, from Wales, Sheffield joined Arden Winch in December 2010 and has been promoted from the internal sales team to look after Adam's previous geographical locations.

He added: "I am delighted to take on this responsibility and help continue the good work Adam has started in the area. We both believe it's all about maintaining relationships with customers and with 2012 being a special anniversary year for the business we are looking forward to developing further successes."

Arden Winch, which was originally Richardson Brush Company, celebrates its 200th anniversary in April and also has offices in Nottingham and Featherstone.

The company is the Yorkshire and East Midlands representative of the Eurosafe Group, which has an annual turnover of more than £80million.
