Sheffield Forgemasters (SFIL) has strengthened its team with the appointment of a Sales Director for its Engineering Limited division who brings more than two decades of experience to the role.

Martin Brear, 43, from Doncaster, is based at SFIL's Brightside Lane site and heads up the company's sales team consisting of 12 members of staff overseeing sales of all Forgemasters' products.

Martin, who has a BSc Hons degree in Business Economics, has worked in sales roles for over 20 years and boasts a well-developed network of contacts across the special steels, industrial gas turbine and aerospace industries.

He left his most recent role as Head of Business Development at Sheffield-based engineering company, Firth Rixson, to join SFIL.

At SFIL, Martin's main responsibilities will be to head the sales of forged and cast products from the Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering company and to develop new business areas in the company's constantly expanding, high technology product range.
