A 24-year-old man from Doncaster has been sentenced to 16 weeks
in prison for assaulting a Police Officer.
Gary Byrne appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court charged with
assault and a public order offence following an incident in the
town centre.
On Saturday, 28 January, an incident occurred on Silver Street
in the town centre, where a group of people are believed to have
had a disagreement outside a takeaway.
Byrne is seen on CCTV attempting to assault a member of staff
from the takeaway who is stood in the door way, and is then seen
goading staff to come outside.
