Former Doncaster Rovers striker, Billy Sharp was the subject of
abuse from one Doncaster Rovers fan, who was taunting him regarding
the death of his son.
The fan made offensive remarks towards Sharp, who tragically
lost his son 'Luey Jacob' in November of last year.
Sharp left Doncaster Rovers in January to join fellow
Championship outfit Southampton, who activated a release clause in
the striker's contract with Rovers.
The supporter, who tweets under the name 'ChrisDRFCBoyd' is
understood to have been a school pupil from Doncaster.
Billy and his partner Jade were left devastated after their son
died aged just two days old. They have since set up 'The
Luey Jacob Sharp Foundation' to raise funds for research into and
to improve awareness of Gastroschisis, the illness Luey Jacob was
bron with.
Billy later responded to the comments by tweeting; "shallow
little boy hope ur proud of urself"
The user has since deleted the account from Twitter.
