Doncaster is to play host to a major national sporting event later this month.

The fourth round of the British Jet Ski Championships, organised by the Jet Sport Racing Association of Great Britain, is being held at Doncaster Lakeside on Saturday and Sunday, 22 and 23 June.

The event will feature numerous races in various classes throughout the two day event and will include the current UK, European and World Champion James Bushell alongside many other top riders from the UK.

Hosting the British Jet Ski Championships again at Lakeside is a real coup for Doncaster and is another quality event that puts the town on the tourism map. Anyone who enjoys thrilling racing action should go along to Lakeside to watch.

Racing will start from 10am on both days. It is free for spectators and parking is available at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster Council's tourism team has once again worked closely with the organisers to bring the event to Doncaster for the second time.

In addition to this, Doncaster will be hosting the final of the European Jet Ski Champions on the 16, 17 and 18 August which will attract over 100 teams from throughout Europe and beyond. This will be a spectacular event which will include the 'daring' freestyle jet ski championships: the Cirque Soliel of the jet ski world!
