Environmental energy firm Green Solar Installation knows all
about the power of the sun, but now, thanks to Doncaster IT firm
ANEW Solutions, it has tapped into the power of the "cloud".
Green Solar Installation is one of the first firms in the region
to harness the power of Microsoft's cloud-based Office 365 solution
meaning staff can work anywhere at any time.
IT support and services company ANEW Solutions worked closely
with Green Solar Installation to provide access to cloud-based
cutting edge technologies and web based access to computer aided
design and accounts packages.
The installation was the first time ANEW had deployed
Microsoft's cloud-based Office 365 solution in conjunction with the
Small Business Server Essentials 2011 server software.
Office 365 for small-medium enterprises gives staff anywhere
access to email, documents, contacts, and calendars so they're
always up-to-date. Familiar tools make it easy to
connect and work with others whether inside the business or partner
companies.
The installation took place at Green Solar Installation's
premises on Carr House Road, Doncaster and the technology will
allow this growing renewables company to collaborate, communicate
and generally work more effectively from anywhere with a
broadband connection.
"We import our own specified and designed PV (photovoltaic)
panels from China and install nationally, so we have staff and
business partners spread across the world," commented John James,
Green Solar Installation's Managing Director.
"We needed a technology infrastructure that allowed us all to
share the business information, wherever we are. We now have
technology that will allow us to grow and give us a competitive
advantage."
Andrew Sterling of ANEW Solutions added;
"It is great to come across such a forward-thinking company in
Doncaster, which is eager to utilise the latest technologies not
for technology's sake, but for competitive advantage.
"For ANEW to win this business allows us to be at the "'leading
edge' of new Microsoft products, which is fantastic."
