Doncaster Rovers FC has signed Atteys Solicitors as
advisers on company and commercial law.
One of South Yorkshire's largest independent legal firms,
Atteys has been appointed by the Championship club as part of a
review of its sponsorship and other contracts. Commercial executive
Andrew Whitham:
"As an ambitious, growing club we want to take a
completely new approach to our commercial structure and build an
infrastructure that is right for us in 2012 and the years ahead.
Among other things, we're looking at a new framework for our
sponsorship documents and at how we can build strong partnership
agreements with other businesses.
"Atteys is a well liked business with a head office in
Doncaster. It understands the town and our club and has a wealth of
experience dealing with organisations from multi-nationals to
charities across the UK. We are very impressed with their intuitive
grasp of the issues that a club like ours deals with on a day to
day basis and confident their knowledge will help us achieve our
commercial objectives."
Charles Glover, chief executive, Atteys: "As two
long-established Doncaster businesses, it's fantastic to have this
alliance in place. It's great that Rovers recognises the legal
skills here on its doorstep and is happy to do business with the
right partners to keep business within South Yorkshire."
Phil Crawley, commercial law solicitor, Atteys: "We're all
about developing long term relationships with clients and giving
clear, practical and professional advice. We are obviously
delighted to be working with Doncaster Rovers on a professional
basis and intend to add significant value to their commercial
operation."
