Business owners, journalists and creative industries
professionals gathered in Doncaster at the launch of the region's
newest communications consultancy recently.
Cream Consultancy, a communications business providing public
relations, social media strategy, media training and copywriting,
held a drinks reception at the town's Point arts centre on South
Parade.
The business start-up has been set up by experienced public
relations professionals Jane Whitham, from Sheffield, and Elizabeth
Hudson, from Doncaster.
The duo, both former journalists, have more than 20 years
experience in public relations, communications and media working
for a range of national clients as well as in the public and
voluntary sector.
Cream's clients include Doncaster-based national environmental
charity BTCV and Doncaster firms Kat Communications, Anew Solutions
and The Fruit Tree Business Growth Club.
Elizabeth said: "The launch party was a tremendous success and
allowed us to personally thank our clients and the people who have
helped us over the last few months.
"We are really looking forward to working with local businesses
to support them in what is likely to prove a challenging year."
Cream is based at Barnsley Digital Media Centre, a £10.5m hub
for creative and digital industries.
